By, achieving superior successes in aviation industry relying on high technology and intense competition, TEI, with the understanding that R&D is one of basic requirements of being main engine manufacturer in this sector, participates to the projects within this scope. TEI proves to be an indispensable design partner in the future with the design engineering contributions to the prominent engine development projects in America and Europe. On the other side, TEI meeting demands in the country with its indigenous solutions aims at decreasing foreign dependency of our country in the sector with R&D Activities.
 
In order that companies having operations in aviation sector can exist in the future depends on having technical and technological means to meet customer expectations and make the most of those means. For this purpose, Technology Development Department is established in our company. Together with providing adaptation of new technologies to TEI, activities of Technology Development Department are acquiring high technology applications cooperating with the universities and making use of these technologies in a way to create competition advantage.

Within the frame of the engineering alliance agreement signed by TEI and GE, TEI established Turkiye Technology Center; giving engineering service to aircraft engines and gas turbines.  Our aim in this project is to start joint engineering studies on F136 engine developed by GE together with Rolls Royce for the project of JSF (Joint Strike Fighter); extending this cooperation to other engines belonging to GE and to take place in every stage of design studies of aircraft engines having today’s high technology and to build well trained manpower.
