Corporate Social Responsibility
Acting in a socially responsible manner towards both Eskisehir and our community, TEI carries out many social responsibility projects. Focusing on the women-, children- and education-related issues under its social responsibility projects, TEI carries out many projects to increase the level of awareness of both its employees and the community on these issues.
One of these social responsibility projects of TEI is visiting the mothers and their newborns at the obstetrics clinics in Eskisehir, and giving them presents on their such special occasions during the week marking the anniversary of its incorporation.
Another project is organization of various activities to increase the interest of young women in aviation during the week covering March 8th International Women's Day which is celebrated as the Women of Aviation Worldwide Week. Through the events we organized during the Aviation Women's Week, which includes March 8 Women's Day, and the projects we launched for our female employees, we were named the "Most Female-Friendly Corporation Worldwide" for the 9th time by the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide (IWOAW).
Engaging in many different social responsibility projects in the field of education, TEI collaborates with the Ministry of National Education and universities. Under the scope of Intelligence Workshop Project which was organized for the first time in 2016 as a social responsibility project in the field of education and has become a corporate tradition, we launch Intelligence Workshops at a pre-selected school every year to provide plays, activities and environment that can be beneficial for development of children's intelligence. Within the scope of the project, TEI established Intelligence Workshops in 12 schools across Eskisehir, and two Intelligence Workshops for Hatay, Kırıkhan, and Kahramanmaras, following the two earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, which deeply wounded Türkiye and affected 11 cities.
Donation of libraries and books to various schools is also among the social responsibility projects of TEI, besides the Intelligence Workshop Project.
Another initiative by TEI in the field of education, Support to Village Schools Project, is a social responsibility project that is carried out with the contributions of TEI employees and provides material support that contributes to the education and training of children studying in Eskisehir and its surrounding districts.
The activities are supported by providing various inventory support to the aviation-related departments of universities and various institutions and organizations. In this context, grants are being made to schools in Eskisehir in cooperation with the Governorship of Eskisehir and under the coordination of the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Eskisehir. In order to support the education of universities in different provinces, idle scrap parts and equipment are donated.
Under the scope of another social responsibility project of TEI, a blood donation campaign is held on the Turkish Red Crescent's truck coming to the premises of TEI in Eskisehir once every 6 months in line with the protocol executed with the Turkish Red Crescent in 2016. Platelet donation was also added to the blood donation campaign, supported by hundreds of employees.
TEI aims to keep providing contribution to the society with various social responsibility projects in the following years.
