GE Aviation and Safran AE make the most important engines of the world under the roof of CFM International. The new-generation LEAP engine, to replace the CFM56, constitutes an important step in development of the aircraft engine technology in terms of fuel efficiency and environmental factors.
Manufacturing of 43 different LEAP engine parts at TEI will not only reinforce the domestic manufacturing operations and create additional employment opportunities, but also play an important role in enhancement of the exports capacity and competitive power of Turkey in the aviation products on global scale. With its investments during the project, TEI has added the new-generation manufacturing technologies to its existing extensive and advanced manufacturing technologies, increasing its qualified labor force and quality.
Completing many "concurrent engineering" projects jointly with GE and Safran AE as part of the Leap engine program and proving its manufacturing and engineering capabilities, TEI was selected as the most collaborative global supplier in 2017 and as the best supplier of the world in 2018 and 2025 thanks to its achievements in NPI timely delivery and superior part quality.
Airbus A320neo, A321neo Boeing 737 and COMAC C919 are powered by LEAP engine.
