The Board of Directors of TSKGV has visited TEI, the leading company of our country in the aviation engines, on June 6th, 2022.
On the facility tour, which was participated by The President of Defense Industry Prof. İsmail Demir, The National Security Council Secretary-General Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu, The Governor of Eskişehir Erol Ayyıldız, Deputy Industry and Technology Minister Hasan Büyükdede, TSKGV Board Member Retired Four Star General Ümit Dündar, TSKGV Board Member Cenap Aşcı, TSKGV Deputy General Director Sadık Piyade, The Trustee Committee President of Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) Abdullah Kaya and the accompanying committees, Chairman&CEO of TEI Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit gave information about the projects carried out by TEI.
An Engine Surprise For The Board of Directors of TSKGV by TEI
During the visit, one-to-one scaled model of TEI-TF6000, the first national turbofan engine of Türkiye, which has reached the prototype production stage after approximately 2-year-long design works, has been exhibited to the participants for the first time as as surprise. TEI-TF6000 Turbofan Engine and its derivatives, which can produce a thrust up to the level of 6,000 lbs (10,000 lbs with the afterburner), will be able to be used in the various national platforms from the airplanes to the ships. The engine, which was designed to support the afterburner configuration in the current design, will be able to reach necessary powers for the supersonic (supersonic) flights with afterburner.
