The "Electricity Generation Turbines Maintenance, Repair, Logistics Support Project (EGTP) Agreement", one of the key protocols that provide the basis for the utilization of the defense industry ecosystem by other industries, is now executed and signed between the Secretariat of Defense Industries (SSB), the Electricity Generation Corporation (EÜAŞ) and TEI, on the first day of SAHA EXPO International Defence & Aerospace Exhibition.
The "Cooperation Protocol for Transferring Resources to the Defense Industry Support Fund" was executed and signed in March between the SSB and the EÜAŞ for provision of the technical infrastructure, needed by EÜAŞ at the electricity generation facilities using national resources. As part of the agreement, serving as a follow-up of such protocol, the breakdown maintenance activities, periodic maintenance & repairs, modifications, and the material supply for the gas and steam turbines, available in the inventory of EÜAŞ, will be provided by TEI.
The signing ceremony was attended by Gökhan Uçar, Deputy Secretary Aviation Systems, at the Secretariat of Defense Industries, and Zafer Benli, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of EÜAŞ, and Mesude Kılınç, the Head of Engine and Power Transmission Systems at the SSB, and Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, the CEO of TEI, and Veysel Geylani, the Head of Natural Gas Power Plants Department at EÜAŞ, as well as the executives at various agencies and companies.
