Türkiye's leading engine company TEI, sent hygiene kits for women's needs.
TEI celebrates International Women's Day every year with various activities which TEI organizes for its female employees. This year, TEI organized a campaign for female hygiene kits after the earthquake disasters in February. The company sent the hygiene kits and children's kits they prepared on behalf of its female employees to Hatay with the ceremony attended by TEI CEO Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit and female employees.
Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Akşit said, “Since we received the news of the earthquake, we have been working with all our strength to meet the needs of the region with the guidance of our state. Our TEI search and rescue team carried out works in the disaster area and supported the efforts to deliver aid in the region. We delivered our in-kind aid, consisting of 7 semi-trailer trucks and 1 truck containing basic needs, to the region. With the campaign we organized within the company, we delivered our cash aid to AFAD. We supported the Medicine Supply Campaign held in our city. We organized a toy, stationery and book campaign for our earthquake survivors who came to Eskişehir after the earthquakes. We contributed to the stocks of Türk Kızılay with the blood donation campaign we organized in our company. Now, on International Women's Day, we are sending female hygiene kits to Hatay for the needs of our women in the region. We will soon deliver two semi-trailer trucks of food parcels to our citizens affected by the earthquake. Currently, we provide direct in-kind support to container city installations in the region with the coordination of SSB and AFAD. We will continue to work with all our strength to meet all the needs of our earthquake victims. On this occasion, I congratulate all our female employees on the International Women's Day”.
