SAHA MİHENK, which carries out its activities under the leadership of TEI, met with companies, stakeholder institutions, and leaders of the defense, aerospace and the space industry, as well as companies that work or want to work in the defense, aerospace and space industry, at Teknopark Ankara for the National Aerospace Industry Workshop on February 13.
The opening speech of the event, where evaluations were made regarding the current situation of the national aviation industry, quality rates in production and supply, and quality-certification regulations, was made by TEI Chairman Prof. Fahrettin Öztürk. In his speech Öztürk said; “As TEI, we are proud to be the sponsor of this event and to serve as the chairman of MİHENK. The future of our country depends on high technology. Together, we are advancing the issue of certification, which is one of the most important parts of the system for the aerospace and defense ecosystem, one of the leading sectors of high technology in our country. Documentation and certification are critical for our industries”. After the opening speech, SAHA MİHENK Leader and TEI Quality System and Certification Manager Ayşin Özkan gave information about the organization. TEI Quality Director Buket Topel also took part as a speaker in the Quality Certification in Production and Supply Processes panel at the event.
The National Aviation Industry Committee (MİHENK), established under the umbrella of SAHA Istanbul Defense, and Aerospace Association, continues its work with the participation of public institutions and companies. SAHA MİHENK, which is responsible for the management and supervision of the certification scheme according to aviation standards in Türkiye and is also the authorized institution for certification decisions, reduces Türkiye's foreign dependency on certification with its work.
