TEI which is Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines and BOTAŞ continue to improve their cooperation.
International Defense Industry Fair IDEF'23, organized at İstanbul TUYAP Fair and Congress Center under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, continues with broad participation and interest of national and international defense industry professionals.
An agreement was signed between TEI and BOTAŞ at the signing ceremony held on the second day of the fair. Within the scope of the signed contract, TEI will provide maintenance and operation support for a total of 10 turbines and natural gas compressor systems, 5 of which are currently installed in the Lake Tuz Storage Facilities of BOTAŞ and the other 5 will be commissioned in the near future.
The signing ceremony was attended by TEI CEO and Board Member Prof. Dr. Mahmut F. Akşit, BOTAŞ Board Member M. Talha Pamukçu, TEI Business Development and Sales Assistant General Manager Ahmet Kain, BOTAŞ Department Head Dilaver Öztürk and corporate executives.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Akşit emphasized the similarities between aircraft engines and natural gas compressors and said, "Our aim is to offer our aviation expertise to BOTAŞ and to bring these services to Türkiye indigenously". Pamukçu said, “As an indicator of our satisfaction with the successful cooperation we made with TEI last year, we are now signing a bigger program, a bigger agreement. We are increasing our cooperation with a long-term maintenance agreement.” He also wished that the agreement would be beneficial for our country.
