TEI came together with nearly 500 female students with the "First Steps to the Centre of Aviation" project within the scope of the events of "Women of Aviation Worldwide Week". In addition, the Women That Empower Mentorship Program was launched in the Women of Aviation Meeting which was held at TEI.
TEI, which has been granted the "Most Female Friendly Aviation Corporation Worldwide" award 5 times by the Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide, came together with the strong women of aviation and the candidates of the future with the "First Steps to the Centre of Aviation" project.
The event was carried out with nearly 500 female students who study in 10 different secondary schools. Students were shown an educational video on the subject of how planes fly. In addition, human resources leader Sibel Pişkin also shared with the students the areas in the aviation sector that could be worked at and her experiences. Afterwards, THY Boeing 737 pilot Elif Coşkun gave a speech which inspires the children on the topic of "Being a Female Pilot". Fun activities were also organized within the scope of the project. Participation to the International Pink Paper Plane Challenge Event was made with the pink paper planes that were flown in 10 different schools.
In addition, the Strong Women of Aviation event was organized within the scope of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week event at TEI. The launching of the Women That Empower Mentorship Program was made in the event which gathered nearly 300 female employees together. 18 students and 16 experienced female executives who are part of the Career in the Source of Power Candidate Engineering Program, will attend the program which will be held for the first time this year. In the mentorship program, which consists of 8 main topics and will last for 4 months, female executives of TEI will convey their knowledge and experiences to female aviator candidates of the future.
