The leading engine manufacturing company in Türkiye, TEI came together with its employees and their families in the TEI Traditional Family Picnic.
Over 6,000 people attended the event that took place in TEI Eskisehir site on Sunday the 25th of September. With the event that TEI employees attended with their families, TEI emphasized once again that they are a big family with all their employees and their families.
With the eating and drinking areas set up in the picnic site and over 20 different activities organized for children, youngsters and all attendees, the entire TEI family enjoyed a pleasant day.
TEI giving the picnic attendees the chance to enjoy the excitement in seeing a jet engine working in the taxiing show of the TEI-TJ90 Turbojet Engine, also hosted the families of the employees in the "Engine Adventure Museum Site". The picnic attendees had the chance to see on site the unique motors TEI developed, its contributions in manufacturing to global aviation and its skills in the fields of quality, maintenance, restoration, revision, installation, reparation. The guests also had the opportunity to explore the Türkiye's first Domestic and National Mobile Turbofan Test Cell at the picnic site.
During the TEI Traditional Family Picnic, where also those ranking in the Spring Tournament organized traditionally were given their awards, the surprise gifts of the "37 Gift Draws for 37 Years" commemorating the 37th year of the establishment anniversary, found their owners. To honour the first national turbofan engine of Türkiye, TEI-TF6000 and the first national turboshaft engine of Türkiye, TEI-TS1400 presented on stage, which attracted an immense attention, the speech delivered by the TEI General Manager Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit emphasized that behind all the success in all areas of activity, lies the hardwork of all the TEI family.

In his speech, also mentioning the current developments in the TEI-TS1400 Turboshaft Engine, Akşit shared images of the engine reaching 1,570 horsepower. He said, "We hope that the next time we’ll watch the testing images of our TEI-TF6000 engine. We will maybe watch the testing images of our TEI-TF6000 engine together in our next picnic. We are working for the indigenous engines of our country effortlessly."
