Within the scope of “Women of Aviation Worldwide Week” events, TEI hosted female students at Eskisehir Headquarter.
With the support of Eskisehir Provincial Directorate of National Education, 120 female students from different high schools across Eskisehir, had the opportunity to meet with women working in different parts of TEI, thanks to the "Interview with Women with aviator" program, which is the first of the events organized by TEI within the scope of the "Women of Aviation Worldwide Week 2020" events.
In the interview, Yeliz Cetinkaya, Human Resources Director of TEI, Buket Topel, NDT and Special Processes Quality Manager of TEI, Zeynep Keceli Yasar, Turboshaft Project Manager of TEI and Aysan Keskin, Pilot of Sivrihisar Aviation Center took place as speakers. Female students show great interest to the speakers who talk about their experiences in the industry and their stories of entering the aviation industry, also actively participated in the question and answer section and found answers to questions about the topics they were curious about.
After the interview, students were asked various questions about aviation in the competition of "Questions From Air" organized for students and awards were presented to the students who ranked. The event ended after the factory tour organized following the lunch with company employees.
Women of Aviation Worldwide Week is celebrated in the week covering March 8 each year in memory of the world's first female pilot's license, for 10 years with various activities in order to introduce the aviation industry to girls and to inspire them. TEI has received awards such as "Best Organizer", "The Most Productive Event Organizer", "Most Female Friendly Corporation" since 2016 thanks to the events it organized.
