The second prototype delivery ceremony was held at Alp Aviation facilities for the TEI-TS1400 Turboshaft Engine Accessory Gear Box (ADK) to be used in Gökbey Helicopter.
The ceremony was attended by CEO Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, Alp Aviation General Manager Şenay İdil, TEI design team managers and engineers, Alp Aviation Design Unit team managers, engineers and unit managers who supported the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, Şenay İdil stated that as Alp Aviation they are very happy to have designed and manufactured the gearbox, and said, “As Alp Aviation, we are delivering the second Accessory Gearbox. As Alp Aviation, we have delivered many products until now, but this product is very different for us. Because we designed and produced it as a team. We did this under a completely vertically integrated structure in line with Alp Aviation's general strategy. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project.”
Underlining that the production of Accessory Gearboxes is an important success for Türkiye, Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit stated “Breaking such a new ground is an important turning point for Türkiye. I would like to thank both the Alp Aviation teams and my own team for the support they have given to the Alp Aviation design team regarding the gearbox design. Together, we have brought this technology to Türkiye. Today, we are experiencing a historical moment for Turkish aviation. We have accomplished a very important job. Hopefully, we will continue at the same pace and we will see it fly after mass production. With the effort and investments made, it will turn into a flying and functioning system for our Türkiye. ”
After the speeches, the signing ceremony was held.
