TEI, Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines, celebrated Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Week with activities organized for TEI employees and students from different levels, as it does every year. The events were held between May 5 and 9, 2025, to strengthen the safe working culture and raise awareness in this field.
OHS Week started with the messages of Prof. Fahrettin Öztürk, TEI's Chairman, and Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, emphasizing the importance of occupational health and safety practices. The phrase "Strong in Occupational Health and Safety, Pioneer in National Aviation!" was selected as TEI's motto in this field for a year in the competition organized among TEI employees.
Throughout the week, various competitions were organized, such as an OHS rules reminder quiz, an OHS button contest, and a Personal Protective Equipment Survivor Parkour, as well as different activities with the participation of emergency teams. In the activities where virtual reality applications were also used, TEI employees competed fiercely in virtual reality competitions where scenarios involving OHS practices were animated.
In the social facility area, there was a mobile station for blood donation by the Turkish Red Crescent and information areas for certified first aid training. Stands were set up where personal protective equipment products were introduced by the relevant companies. TEI employees participated in the game Safety Monopoly and had a pleasant time while refreshing their OHS knowledge.
TEI OHS teams visited Reşat Benli Primary School, explaining the importance of OHS to students and introducing OHS practices in a virtual environment. Finally, students received fire extinguishing training in the fire drill organized at Atatürk Vocational and Technical High School.
