TEI came together with its female employees for lunch as part of Women's Day activities.
The event, held at TEI's Eskişehir Campus, was attended by Eskişehir Governor Özdemir Çakacak and his wife Kevser Çakacak, Eskişehir Deputy Prof. Emine Nur Günay and TEI Chairman and General Manager Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, along with TEI's female employees.
In the event, Governor of Eskişehir Özdemir Çakacak emphasized the importance of women in Turkish society since the proclamation of the Republic and emphasized that women should continue to work for our country in every field without discrimination between men and women, and said that our women who work, produce, labor and raise are very valuable, and said, "I congratulate the Women's Day of the women working at TEI, the apple of our country's eye."
Delivering the opening speech at the event, Akşit stated that the number of female employees at TEI is increasing day by day, and emphasized that efforts are continuing to improve the conditions for female employees, and as a result of the work they have done so far, TEI was selected as the Most Female Friendly Corporation in 2019 by the World Institute of Aviation Women.
Speaking afterwards, Emine Nur Günay, Deputy from Eskişehir, emphasized the importance of women in society and stated that TEI women employees are a source of pride for Turkey and the aviation industry due to their work.
After having lunch together, Akşit talked with the female employees and listened to their demands. After watching the movie "Strong Women of Aviation", which consists of interviews with TEI's female employees, gifts were presented to the guests and participants to commemorate the day. The event ended with a group photo shoot.
