TEI, Türkiye's leading aviation engine company, brought its national aviation engines to millions at the aerospace and technology festival TEKNOFEST'25 Istanbul.
TEKNOFEST hosts various activities, including technology competitions, air shows, talks, and events, and TEI has been a partner at the festival for years. TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's first aircraft engine, which is currently undergoing testing, was successfully tested at TEI's mobile test cell installed at the festival site with the participation of Prof. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of the Defense Industries. The TEI-TF6000 tests, which Görgün first ignited, continued throughout the festival.
Following TEKNOFEST Cyprus, which welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors, TEI took its place at TEKNOFEST Istanbul, the second event of 2025. TEI showcased Türkiye's first aircraft engine, the TEI-TF6000, Türkiye's first national helicopter engine, the TEI-TS1400, and Türkiye's first national turbodiesel aviation engine, the TEI-PD170, to visitors. A 1:1 scale model of Türkiye's most powerful national aviation engine, the TEI-TF10000, was also displayed at the stand. Visitors to the TEI stand learned about TEI's activities related to the design, production, assembly, and testing processes of aviation engines. They had the opportunity to examine Türkiye's national engines closely.
As part of the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, the winning teams of the Turbojet Engine Combustion Chamber Design and Turbojet Engine Control Unit Design competitions, organized under the leadership of TEI, received their awards, and the award-winning designs were displayed at the TEI stand.
Inspired by Türkiye's indigenous power, the TEI Store brought together clothing and accessory products for children and adults at TEKNOFEST Istanbul, featuring its special collection products.
During the festival, which took place at Istanbul Atatürk Airport between September 17 and 21 with over 1 million visitors, TEI human resources officials also shared the company's talent programs and career opportunities with participants.
