The final presentations of the Jet Engine Design Competition, organized by TEI as part of TEKNOFEST, were completed at the TEI Eskişehir campus. TEI, Türkiye's leading aviation engine company, has been organizing the Jet Engine Design Competition every year since 2019 as part of TEKNOFEST, the world's largest aviation, space, and technology festival.
The Jet Engine Design Competition, which attracts great interest from young people every year, was held in two different categories this year: Combustion Chamber Design and Engine Control Unit Design. 352 teams applied for the competition, and the final presentations took place at the TEI Eskişehir Campus between July 7 and 9. In addition to the final presentations, TEI human resources managers provided participants with information and presentations on career processes. On the final day of the event, after the presentations, TEI's CEO, Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, met with the competing students.
The top three teams' designs will be produced by TEI in the Combustion Chamber Design and also tested under real conditions. The designs of the Engine Control Unit Design category will also be tested by TEI. Following the evaluations, the competition's award ceremony will be held as part of TEKNOFEST 2025, which will take place in Istanbul from September 17 to 21.
The Jet Engine Design Competition, which has attracted significant interest in previous years, demonstrates TEI's leading position in the industry not only in its areas of activity but also in talent development and educational initiatives.
