TEI Continues Its Support for Education

TEI, Türkiye's leading company in aviation engines, continues its support for education.

TEI has reached thousands of students at various levels through numerous social responsibility projects it has conducted over the years, and recently entered into a new cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Eskişehir, under the auspices of the Governorship of Eskişehir.

At the signing ceremony held at Eskişehir Teacher's House with the participation of Hüseyin Aksoy, the Governor of Eskişehir, Sinan Aydın, the Provincial Director of National Education in Eskişehir, Prof. Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, and students, the Dual Vocational Education Program Cooperation Protocol was signed. Burhanettin Elçi, Branch Manager in charge of Vocational and Technical Education at the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Eskişehir, and Özdoğan Turan, Career Development and Training Manager at TEI, conveyed the details about the project through their presentations at the ceremony.

During his speech at the signing ceremony, Hüseyin Aksoy, the Governor of Eskişehir, said: “This protocol is a noteworthy move in collaborating with the industry in vocational education to provide students with work experience and to train them as technical workforce appropriate for the aviation industry. Such collaborations will make a significant contribution to the development of both our industry and our education system. We place importance on vocational education, and we are making efforts to bring it to a better point. In Eskişehir, we provide support to areas of need in collaboration with our Chamber of Industry. At the vocational education workshop we held last year, we gathered with all stakeholders and determined the necessary actions. Our goal is to encourage young people to prefer vocational high schools and guide them toward fields where they can find a job soon after graduation. In cooperation with the Presidency of Defense Industries and other industrial enterprises, we provide our students with the opportunity to develop in the best way possible. In this context, I wish that the protocol will be beneficial for our education community, TEI and Eskişehir.”

During his speech at the ceremony, Sinan Aydın, the Provincial Director of National Education in Eskişehir, emphasized the importance of vocational education, stating, 'We designed this program as a continuation of the Aviation Mechanic School, which we started last year in collaboration with TEI.'" We hope that our cooperation in vocational education will grow through the establishment of such protocols with the leading companies in our city.

During his speech at the signing ceremony, Prof.Mahmut F. Akşit, TEI's CEO, said, “We are one of the major companies not only in our country but also in the world in the field of aviation engines. We achieve all our success thanks to our employees; young people like you. We are always demanding skilled and qualified technicians. Our support for you, our valuable young people, will continue through training programs like these.”, and emphasized that TEI's support for education will continue.

According to the signed protocol, 9th-grade students studying Machinery Technology at Eskişehir Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School will be employed at TEI throughout their high school education.
