Development of Titanium and Nickel Based Superalloy Forging Technologies
Forging technologies for titanium alloy and nickel super alloy materials, which are required for gas turbine engines, had been studied in ÖRS Project. Final microstructures after forging and secondary processes have been determined and mechanically characterized on sample parts.
Forging and heat treatment processes were developed successfully for compressors and turbine rotating parts of indigenous engines. The ÖRS Project was funded by the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and carried out together with our sub-contractors KANCA and OMTAS.
